Fifteen thousand dollars was raised for the Palestine Emergency Relief fund at a protest meeting held at the Y. M. H. A. here last night and attended by two thousand.
In resolutions adopted the Palestine administration was held directly responsible for the events which have transpired and the rights of the Jews to self defense upheld.
Speakers included Mayor Jerome T. Congleston, Senator Hamilton Fish Kean, Congressman Fred Hartley, Rabbi Solomon Foster, Aaron Levinstone Baruch Zuckerman. Rabbi Louis Silberfeld, Judge Bernard Rosenblatt, Leon J. Rosenthal, Philip J. Schotland. Cantor Berel Chagy chanted the memorial prayer.
Among the principal contributors were: Michael, Albert and Benjamin Hollander $2500; Joseph Stern $1000, Louis Schlesinger $500; Hadassah $500, Bloomfield Camp of the Order Sons of Zion $500.
