City of Berlin Honors Memory of Mendelssohn

On the occasion of the two hundredth anniversary today of the birth of Moses Mendelssohn, German Jewish philosopher, a wreath was laid on his grave in the name of the city of Berlin by Councillor Treitel.

The wreath was inscribed with the following words: “In honor of our great citizen, Moses Mendelssohn.”
