Responsibility for the Arab outbreak in Palestine is being directed toward Amin el Husseini, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, by Arab notables of Palestine. The government is urged to hold the Mufti accountable for the recent disaster in a statement adopted at a meeting called by Arab notables of the Agour village near Hebron. The Jaffa paper, “El Akdan,” reporting the meeting, declares that the statement against the Grand Mutfi was signed by those present, while others touring the villages obtained additional signatures.

The “El Akdan” reports the meeting in an indignant article and terms the Arabs who called the meeting and the signatories “traitors and slaves of the Zionists.”
