Revolution is the only language that westerners understand and the Arab revolution in Palestine has done more than many years of complaint, is the assertion made in the English edition of the “Felestin.” Arab publication, “Our national revolution has done more good than many years of complaining and protesting and demonstration.” it writes. “We are inclined to believe this is the only language intelligible to the west and westerners.”
As benefits of the so-called revolution, the paper lists a united Arab nation against “mad Zionism;” the publication of an English weekly, and the arousal of patriotic feeling as evidenced in collections from Arab Relief, amounting to as much as four hundred pounds in one town (unnamed); the betrayal of the real intentions of the Zionists; the arousing of universal interest; the boycott slogan: “Don’t buy anything from Jews but land. Sell them everything but land.”
The “Felestin” reprints an article from the “Forum” of June, by John Clark Archer. Professor of Missions and Comparative Religion at Yale, entitled “Zionism-A Misreading of Jewish History,” as well as a letter from James Philips of Florida insisting that many Americans well know that the Arabs have lofty aims and aspirations as well as the Jews.
Publishing the report that Tel Aviv has acquired land for a new cemetery, the “El Akdam.” Arab paper of Jaffa, expresses the wish that the cemetery be filled soon with Jewish immigrants who will find in it their national home.
