The foundation stone for the first ten houses of the new Yemenite settlement one and a half kilometres west of Rehoboth, named after Alexander Marmorek, has been laid. The land, and area of 1,100 dunams, has been granted to the settlement by the Jewish National Fund, which is also installing a water supply and building 25 houses with funds made available from the bequest of Harry Miller. The 50 families to be settled there will cultivate oranges and forage.
