With another meatless Sabbath impending thousands of bourgeois and workmen as well as representatives of other classes thronged a monster protest meeting here yesterday to demand the immediate approval of slaughtering at the temporary abattoir, which is an abandoned tannery. The meeting declared that for the 23rd day 45,000 people are deprived of meat.
