Torrential rains, the heaviest in a decade, have flooded the railway tracks here at several points. The passenger train from Kantara has been unable to proceed any further than Gaza and the passengers were stranded all night. Transshipments have been interrupted on the Palestine-Egypt line which is temporarily out of commission. Mails, too, are delayed.
