Senator Fess of Ohio to Speak at March 16 Meeting of Protest Against Russia

Simeon D. Fess, United States Senator from the State of Ohio, has accepted the invitation of the American Jewish Congress and will be the principal speaker at the mass demonstration arranged at Town Hall, for Sunday afternoon, March 16th, as part of a national Jewish day of protest against the suppression of the Jewish religion and the persecution of Jewish religious leaders in Russia, it was announced yesterday.

Among the distinguished group of leaders who will address the meeting are also, Congressman Hamilton Fish, Jr., of New York City; Bernard S. Deutsch, President of the American Jewish Congress; former Congressman Nathan D. Perlman, Hon. Carl Sherman, former Attorney General of the State of New York; Rev. Hirsch Masliansky and Israel N. Thurman.

The mass meeting in New York is only one of a series which is being arranged in leading Jewish centers throughout the country.
