An imposing demonstration by representatives of all Thuringian Jewry took place yesterday in Eisenach. Brune Weil, the chief speaker, and delegates from all parts of this German state condemned the anti-Semitic Frick regime which rules in Thuringia today and which has passed an anti-schechita law and is planning other discriminations against Jews.
The present-day anti-Semitic spirit that pervades Frick and his adherents, declared the speakers, is a violation of the old liberal spirit of Thuringia as it expressed itself in the utterances of Goethe at Weimar. A resolution was adopted calling upon the Reich government to assure the constitutional rights of Thuringian Jewry.
