Urges Museum of Palestine Antiquities to Honor Petrie

Support for the movement which has been started to establish a museum of Palestinian antiquities in London would be a useful way of expressing admiration for the work of Sir Flinders Petrie, writes the “Manchester Guardian.” Sir Flinders Petrie, one of the most famous of living archaeologists, has just completed half a century’s work in archaeology, and an appeal is being made for a fund to commemorate his achievements and to allow the work of his school to continue. The school is hoping next season to dig Gehar, where Abraham and Isaac lived.
