Crimea Agrees to Soviet Order for Land for Jewish Settlement

After strong objection had been voiced and lengthy negotiations conducted, the Crimean government today agreed to apportion 100,000 hectares of new land alloted for Jewish colonization in Crimea, according to the decision of the Soviet cabinet. The decision must be carried out within the next fortnight.
