A part of the Arab “rights,” namely a Parliament, would be welcome if they cannot obtain their full “rights,” writes the Arab paper, Meraat Al Shark. The paper also points out that “if the Jews want tranquility in the country they must cease their opposition to a parliament.” This sentiment bears out reports that the moderates among the Arab leaders are prepared to accept the reported offer of a legislative council which the British government will make them when the High Commissioner, Sir John Chancellor, returns to Palestine.
