Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver of Cleveland and Lessing Rosenwald, president of the Philadelphia Federation of Charities, son of one of the greatest philanthropists, Julius Rosenwald, will be the guest speakers at the annual banquet of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies to take place here on Monday evening, October 20, at the Copley-Plaza Hotel. This affair will open the drive for $750,000, to take care of the poor, sick, and needy of the Greater Boston community.

Unlike other years, the campaign will be concentrated into one single week of intensive effort, ending October 28. Louis E. Kirstein, president of the Associated, will preside at the opening event. Henry Penn is campaign chairman.

The Associated Jewish Philanthropies comprise a group of twenty-one constituent organizations and institutions in the city, whose combined budgets for the year make essential the sum of at least $750,000.
