The first of a series of lectures on Biblical archaeology was delivered at the British Academy in London yesterday by Dr. El Sukenik, archaeologist of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The lecture was one of the Schweich series, and dealt with “The Ancient Synagogue of Palestine and Greece.”
The Right Honored Reverend Charles, Arch-deacon of Westminster, was chairman of the Academy meeting.
