Keen disappointment prevails here in various circles interested in the Palestine question over the probability that the League of Nations will not be able to take any action on the British White Paper much before a year from now in view of the fact that the present session of the Mandates Commission will end tomorrow without the Palestine problem’s having been discussed.

The possibility still exists, however, that the Council of the League of Nations meeting in January will ask the Mandates Commission to hold a special session to consider the White Paper. But if the matter is postponed until the next ordinary session of the Mandates Commission in June 1931, the Council will not be in a position to consider that document until its meeting in September 1931.
