Resenting the winning of the football championship of Bukovina by the Czernowitz Jewish Sports Club Maccabee from the German Football Club Johann here, the supporters of the defeated Johann Club set upon the Maccabee team to-day, injuring many of them. Shouts of “Jews go to Palestine” were raised. The police restored order, arresting some of the aggressors, in whose possession they have found a number of revolvers, which have been confiscated.
