Pandeli Kiriakopoulos, a revenue officer, who two years ago killed a Jew named Samuel Nefussi by firing at him with his revolver at the entrance of his house, situated in the courtyard of the Kiana Synagogue, has been sentenced to 16 months’ imprisonment.

The court found that the murder was an act of “carelessness”, and sentenced Kiriakopoulos to 15 months on that count, and an additional month for illegal possession of firearms.
