Official announcement is made here today that anti-Semitic National Democratic students who attacked a Jewish student summer colony in Poronin, near Zakopane last week, were fined 118 zlotys each while six were arrested and held for trial.
As soon as the occurrence of the attack became known, the District Governor ordered the Police Commandant of Poronin to conduct an energetic investigation, says the official communique.
The fines and the arrests followed this investigation. The fines were imposed for damages.
The attackers besieged the colonies, entered the buildings, opened pistol fire and demolished furniture and lamps.
