On the eve of the German elections on Sunday, Adolph Hitler addressed a throng of one hundred thousand in Frankfort-Am-Main.
The “Angriff,” Nazi organ, commenting on Hitler’s campaign speech, declares: “Although the Jews have converted our famous city of Frankfort into a new Jerusalem, and crowded it with their brethren and with speculators, nevertheless the Hitler meeting was a tremendous success.”
The Jewish community in Frankfort is more than 800 years old.
