Georg Ierbrant, a Nazi leader of East Prussia, was arrested today on charges of having inspired the attempt upon the lives of Socialist political leaders and Jews on August 1.

The Nazis actually responsible for the attempts have escaped to Danzig, however.

Among those against whom the Nazis directed their attempts on August 1st, was Kurt Sabatsky of Koenigsburg, representative of the Central Union of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith.

The Nazis attacked the home of Dr. Sabatsky. Blood-shed was avoided because Dr. Sabatsky was not at home.

The Central Union leader had aroused the ire of the Nazis because he made representations to the East Prussian government with regard to attacks on Jews in Sensburg.
