Berlin (Oct. 3)
The advertisements placed by the Paramount Film Company, whose executives are Jews, in the Nazi film paper, “Der Deutscher Film,” no longer appear in the Nazi organ.
Officials of the Paramount Company have withdrawn their advertisements following criticism from Jewish circles, in the opinion of leaders of the Central Union of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith.
While the Paramount Company is conspicuous by its absence from the advertising columns of the Nazi organ, another equally important film company, that of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, whose executives, too, are Jews, utilizes the advertising columns of the Nazi paper.
The advertisements placed in the Nazi paper by the Paramount Company evoked widespread criticism, particularly in view of the fact that all out-standing German companies have ignored this medium.
