The Common Council of the City of Detroit has taken cognizance of the three hundredth anniversary of the birth of Baruch Spinoza, the famous Dutch-Jewish philosopher, which occurs this year, by naming a street in River Rouge Park in his honor.

This was done at the request of the Spinoza Tri-centennial Committee of which Dr. N. E. Aronstam is chairman. This Committee is arranging a public celebration on November 27, at which Will Durant, the author of “The Story of Philosophy” will speak on “Spinoza and Our Contemporary World.”
