Arab Executive Decides to Reject Report of Lewis French, Land Commissioner

Download PDF for this date

The Arab Executive at its session today decided to reject the report of Lewis French, Palestine Land Commissioner.

The report, which was completed in the spring, will not be made public until the British government has received the views of the Jewish and Arab Executives and the recommendations of the High Commissioner, following which it will issue a statement on policy.

At the same time the Executive formulated plans for the calling of a general strike on Balfour Day. It also called upon the government to call a complete halt to immigration of Jews to Palestine and to prevent Jews from purchasing land.
