Chancellor Engelbert Dollfuss was expected to return here today by airplane from London to assume personally full direction of Government efforts directed against the crisis created by outbreaks of the Nazis in this country which culminated in the expulsion by the Nazi authorities in Germany of a member of the Austrian diplomatic staff.

The Nazi party here has not been officially prohibited, it was stated, but Government officials were ordered to withdraw from membership in the organization.

At a cabinet meeting last night, it was decided to increase safety measures and to put them into the hands of a state commissar who would rely chiefly on the military forces to preserve order.

President Mildas and Vice-Chancellor Winkler yesterday received a delegation of Vienna Nazi leaders who denied Nazi responsibility for the bomb outrages of the past few days and demanded that the Nazi Brown Houses, occupied by the authorities, be returned to the organization. They also demanded the return of full political equality for the Nazi party.
