Dr. Ludwig Cohn, of Breslau, a government expert in institutions for the blind in Lower Silesia, who has been blind himself since 1910, has been dismissed from his post.
The official explanation accompanying the notice of Dr. Cohn’s dismissal stated that “at a meeting held by blind men in the institutions they decided that they did not want Jewish supervision of their activities.”
Dr. Cohn was decorated by the German government during the war for his services among the war blind. In spite of his own blindness, he won degrees in philosophy and law. He was considered the most prominent German expert on blindness.
