Eleven members of the Endek, reactionary, anti-Government and anti-Semitic organization, have been sentenced to imprisonment of two months each, the Endek headquarters closed and their publication suspended as a result of Endek anti-Jewish activities in Czestochowa during the past week. Forty members of the organization in all had been arrested for participating in the disturbances which included attacks on Jewish passers-by in the streets of the city.
In accordance with a recent Government ruling, these activities of the Endeks were construed as being anti-State. Government spokesmen have frequently accused the Endeks of attacking Jews in order to weaken and embarrass the Government.
