Rabbi A. M. Hershman of Congregation Shaare Zedek, who recently returned from a three months’ stay in Palestine, proposed a four point plan for the rescue of the German Jews based on his experience in Palestine.
Dr. Hershman declared that it was necessary to help the German Jews financially, to take as many as possible out of Germany and settle them in Palestine, induce President Roosevelt to intervene on their behalf with the German government and also to carry out an unofficial boycott against Germany.
