An aged Jewish couple, Jacob and Ida David, who live in Grossblumenau, East Prussia, and who recently celebrated the sixty-fifth anniversary of their marriage, received congratulations from the Prussian Premier, General Hermann Wilhelm Goering.

It is customary for the Prussian Premier to extend congratulations on the occasion of diamond wedding celebrations, but this is the first instance in which a Jewish couple were the recipients of such official congratulations. It is not known whether Premier Goering was aware of the fact that the couple were Jewish.
