Dorothy Thompson Favors Boycott of Nazi Goods As Rebuke to Hitler

“The boycott of Nazi-made goods will not bring about the downfall of Hitler or the Hitler regime, but I favor the boycott because public opinion is in this way mobilized against Nazi tactics”, Dorothy Thompson, in private life Mrs. Sinclair Lewis, said in an address before the Omaha Community Forum.

“Mr. Hitler wants a military renaissance in Germany,” she said, “a Germany purged of all opposition to militarism, and he then plans to go on a crusade. His theme is based on ‘blood and earth’.”
