Professor Albert Einstein will attend the Maccabean Festival at Madison Square Garden Saturday evening, Morris Margulies, secretary of the Zionist Organization of America and director of the festival, announced.
In accepting the invitation to attend the affair, at which Governor Herbert H. Lehman will also be a guest of honor, Professor Einstein wrote:
“I thank you heartily for your invitation to attend the Chanukah celebration to be held at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. I gladly accept your invitation and earnestly hope that it will be a beautiful demonstration of Jewish solidarity in these critical times.”
