Give Diplomas to Schule Graduates

SIGN UP FOR THE JTA DAILY BRIEFING

Joe Weinberg, president of the Workmen’s Circle of America, will award diplomas to seven graduates of the local Arbeiter Ring Yiddish Schule, at the institution’s fifth annual commencement exercises, on April 15, at the Jewish Educational Alliance.

Features of the program will be a concert participated in by students of the school, and the presentation of a one-act play, with members of the graduating class taking leading roles.

The Yiddish Schule, with an enrollment of more than fifty boys and girls, meets six afternoons a week at the Arbeiter Ring Lyceum on Capitol avenue. The institution operates its own school bus.

Other activities of the local Workmen’s Circle are a weekly history class for adults, and a Yiddish class for the younger members on Friday evenings.

Established twenty-five years ago, the Atlanta chapter of the Workmen’s Circle is the oldest unit in the southeastern district.
