Dr. Judah L. Magnes, chancellor of Hebrew University in Jerusalem, will be guest of honor at a luncheon given by Jacob Epstein at the Southern Hotel tomorrow. Dr. Magnes spoke on the development of Palestine and the university he heads, and discusses particularly the German refugees settling in the Holy Land.
Dr. Magnes, who arrived in this country April 30, will leave for Philadelphia immediately after the luncheon and will be guest at a dinner in his honor sponsored by the United Jewish Appeal at the Benjamin Franklin Hotel.
The chancellor will sail for Palestine May 26th on board the Italian liner Rex.
