Rosen to Talk on Conditions in Soviet, Reich

The annual corporate meeting of the National Council of The American Jewish Joint Distribution committee will take place in the Federation Building, 71 West Forty-seventh street, next Wednesday.

The meeting will be addressed by Dr. Joseph A. Rosen, director of Russian activities, who has just returned from abroad. He will present a brief report on Jewish conditions in Russian and Germany.

The annual financial report and statement of activities will be read and one of the classes of the board of directors will be elected. Nominations for additional membership to the council will be presented and election of officers and of the executive committee will take place.

Gratitude for help given “at a time of extraordinary emergency” is expressed in a letter to the Joint Distribution Committee from the officers of the Jewish Workingmen’s School, “Morgenroit,” in Czernowitz, Roumania, for a contribution toward support of the professional day school for carpentry and tailoring, the evening trade school for apprentices, the public library and reading room, the kindergarten and the tea hall in the name of Dr. Jacob Pistiner.
