An appeal for support of the work of the American Pro-Falasha Committee serving 50,000 Jews in Abyssinia was made yesterday by Rabbi William F. Rosenblum, who at the recent conference of rabbis at Wernersville, Pa., reported that 121 reform groups had assisted the organization.
Rabbi Rosenblum announced that Dr. Jacques Faitlovitch, executive director of the group, is now in Abyssinia preparing to extend the work into the interior, where numerous Christian missionary stations are attempting to convert the Falashas. The committee is located at 305 Broadway.
