A demand that women and girls be accorded equality with men in Jewish education was voiced by Rabbi Aaron Rosmarin over Station WHOM.
“The Jewish woman as the educator of Jewish youth should be looked upon as the most important factor in Jewish life,” he said, “for it is the mother who in most cases maps out her children’s Jewish pattern of life.”
