Religious Bodies Lay Plans for Renewed Drive on Film Dirt

After uniting forces on Monday, Protestant, Jewish and Catholic leaders in the campaign to purge the motion pictures of dirt appear to be quietly laying plans for a renewed drive along several fronts.

Will H. Hays, head of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America, seemed confident that the demand by the clergy to depose him will meet with failure. However, he will be ignored by church representatives in their parleys with picture producers “who are more powerful people” in the opinion of Father Joseph A. McCaffrey, Roman Catholic representative.
