The Workmen’s Circle Labor Lyceum cornerstone will be laid Sunday morning, August 5, at eleven o’clock, it was announced yesterday.
Work on the Lyceum started July 4, when the first spade of dirt was turned. The building will be two stories high and will house in addition to the twelve branches of the local Workmen’s Circle the Poale Zion, Purity Co-operative, and Socialist parties.
A drive for $6,000 has been launched to defray the cost of construction.
