Mr. and Mrs. Jerome J. Hanauer are sailing for a vacation in Europe on August 4.

Mr. and Mrs. Max J. Bernheim are spending the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ittleson and will then go for a few weeks to a house-boat in Canada.

Mrs. Max Rossback is traveling in Europe with her daughter.

Miss Helen Jacobs is the house guest of Mrs. Henry L. Hamlin in East Hampton.

Mr. Edgar Salinger of New York has joined Mrs. Salinger and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Herrmann, at the Green Brier, White Sulphur Springs.

Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hillman have sailed on the Holland American liner Vendam for a trip to Europe.

Miss Fannie Hurst is likewise Europe bound on the Ile de France.

Secretary and Mrs. Henry Morgenthau have left their farm at Hopewell Junction, N. Y., to spend the next few weeks on a ranch in Montana.

Mrs. Jesse Isidore Strauss, wife of the Ambassador to France, is summering at her home in Mount Kisco.

Mrs. Herbert Spencer Martin, her sons, Stuart and Herbert, Mrs. Clarence A. Wimpfheimer and Mr. Jack Wimpfheimer of New York sailed on the Volendam for an extended trip to Europe, planning to visit Spain, North Africa, Italy and the Riviera, and then turning north to Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, France, and England.

Borough President and Mrs. Samuel Levy will reside in Deal, N. J. during the summer season.

Miss Janice C. Yohalem is returning early in August from a West Indies cruise.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pomerance returned from their wedding trip to Bermuda. They will reside in Cos Cob, Conn., for the rest of the summer. Miss Pomerance, the former Josephine Alma Wertheim, is a granddaughter of Henry Morgenthau, the former Ambassador to Turkey.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Rein and their daughter Miss Lenore Rein, of 55 Central Park west, New York have left Deal, N. J., in order to spend the month of August at the Saratoga Spa.

Miss Carolyn Fruhauf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Fruhauf of 98 Riverside drive was married last Tuesday evening in the Jansen suite of the Waldorf-Astoria to L. Reyner Samet, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Samet also of this city. Rabbi Nathan A. Perilman of Temple Emanu-El performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was given away by her father, had only one attendant, Miss Hilda Samet, sister of the groom. Mr. Harry Reyner, Mayor of Newport News, Va., and uncle of the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony a dinner was served.

Miss Fruhauf is a graduate of the Semple School of this city. Mr. Samet holds a degree from the Law School of the University of Virginia and is connected with the firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hope & Webb.

Mr. and Mrs. Samet left on Wednesday on the Queen of Bermuda for a three weeks’ wedding trip to Bermuda. After their return they will make their home in New York.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bayard Swope of 895 Park avenue and Sands Point, L. I., announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Jane Marion Swope, to Robert Lee Brandt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Brandt of 40 East Sixty-sixth street.
