New Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization instructions to discontinue the practice of including the race of the applicant in the certificate of naturalization will benefit the naturalized citizen traveling abroad, the Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society, 425 Lafayette street, announced yesterday.

The Bureau found that there is no law requiring that the certificate state the race of the recipient and notified clerks of courts exercising naturalization jurisdiction to discontinue the practice.
