Not Representative, American Body Says

Morris D. Waldman, secretary of the American Jewish Committee, in a statement last night drew attention to the fact that his organization has not endorsed and is not participating in the World Jewish Conference now in session at Geneva, Switzerland.

He pointed out also that the Board of Jewish Deputies of England and the Alliance Israelite Universelle of France have not sent delegates to the gathering.

“In the light of these facts,” the statement said, “the conference cannot truthfully be described as representative of the opinion of Jews of the world or as expressing the viewpoint of Jewish citizens of the United States.”
