The first Yiddish daily newspaper in Biro-Bidjan, recently proclaimed autonomous Jewish region in the Far East, made its appearance there yesterday. The paper is called the Biro-Bidzaner Shtern (Biro-Bidjan Star). The paper formerly appeared twice weekly. It has been designated the official organ of the region administration.
