Superior (Oct. 12)
This city and Duluth, Minn., gave liberal sums for the aid of German Jewry in response to appeals in the synagogues during the Succoth holidays. The United Jewish Appeal was the main beneficiary in both cities. In Duluth contributions totaled $3,200, of which all but $450 is to go to the United Jewish Appeal. Superior’s total was $900, most of which has been designated for the fund to aid the Jews of Germany and other lands and to settle Jews in Palestine.
