Julius Streicher, publisher of the anti-Semitic weekly, Der Stuermer, and another member of the Hitler party were sentenced to jail for having libeled the Jewish religion in the weekly. The case was brought against the pair by the Central Union of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith.
