Mrs. Mary G. Schonberg, executive secretary of the National Council of Jewish Women, sharply attacked the dependence of women of the leisure classes on commercial entertainment as tending “to retard the progress of the nation,” in a speech broadcast last night over Station WNEW.

Mrs. Schonberg, who spoke under the auspices of the School of the Jewish Woman, declared commercial entertainment “leaves these women and their children at the mercy ef war propagandists, increasing social disorders and of a growing Fascist philosophy.”
