A warning against using the Jews as a scapegoat for unfavorable economic conditions was delivered here yesterday by Rabbi Louis I. Newman, who spoke before the Men’s Club of Congregation B’nai Israel. Rabbi Newman denied that a majority of American Jews were Communists, pointing out that Jewish political opinion ranged from extremely conservative to extremely radical.
