Several attacks by Wolves were reported today from Beth Alpha, attracting the attention of the Palestine government.

The wolves suddenly appeared on the outskirts of Beth Alpha and attacked a few young cattle, but did not harm the sole Jewish herdsman. After a few shots by the herdsman the wolves disappeared.

Later, however, a pack of wolves again appeared in the same neighborhood and attacked the sheep, invading a stable in which they are sheltered. Armed colonists pursued the wolves, but succeeded only in killing several jackals. The wolf pack escaped.

The Palestine authorities, after being informed of the presence of wolves in the neighborhood, today supplied the colonists with poison and guns to counteract the attacks if repeated.
