An appeal to President Roosevelt resulted today in the granting of an American visa to a Polish Jewish legionnaire, Zadok Mendelsohn of this city.

Mendelsohn had for months unsuccessfully applied for a visa. Having four brothers in the United States who are willing to guarantee that he will not become a public burden, the legionnaire sent a direct appeal to President Roosevelt. Today he was summoned to the consulate and was given his visa.
