Construction of a new electric power station, larger than the one operated by the Rutenberg Electric Company on the Jordan River, was started here today by the same company.
The new station will provide light and power for numerous industrial enterprises in the Haifa section which, as a result of its new harbor, is now becoming one of the chief industrial regions in the country.
