certain groups in connection with the forthcoming elections to the next World Zionist Congress, was voiced at the conference by Dr. Schmorak, one of the outstanding figures in the Zionist movement in Poland.
“The Laborites may just as well take over the entire Zionist administration if they receive a majority. The General Zionists have no interest in participating in an Executive which will depend upon the favor of the Left Wing,” Dr. Schmorak said.
Dr. Rufeisen, another leading Polish Zionist, demanded the regulation of labor relations in Palestine. He spoke against the establishment of the independent labor organization by the General Zionists and expressed the hope that some way may be found for cooperating with the Histadruth, provided the latter agrees to eliminate politics from its labor platform.
