Nearly all Jewish communities in the Saar are being dissolved, it was reported here today in connection with the forthcoming High Holidays.
So many Jews are migrating from the territory, the report states that there are now not sufficient numbers left to maintain synagogues and other institutions.
From Bochum it was reported that the entire Jewish population is being registered by the authorities in order to check on their race relationships. A special file containing the biography of every “non-Aryan” in the city is being assembled by the marriage bureau officials, who must consult these records before issuing a marriage license.
